SERPENTINE PAVILION 2008: GEHRY STYLE
We have shown a number of Serpentine Gallery Pavilion projects in the past few weeks - but this is the one by Frank Gehry for this year! It comprises of large timber planks and multiple glass planes that soar and swoop at different angles to create a dramatic multi-dimensional space. Its going to be controversial!! Take a look at the comments on the link below.
See you all April 1st - !!

Brockholes Wetlands Centre
Adam Khan Architects has won the RIBA competition to design a new visitor facility for the Brockholes Wetland and Woodland Nature Reserve near Preston in Lancashire. The vision for Brockholes was to design a suite of visitor facilities to inspire and encourage people to visit the site and engage with the natural world. The winning design has been named 'A Floating World' and draws on the rich tradition of wetland dwellings, a floating world of thatch, reeds and willow.

IMAGINATION EXHIBITION
There are some interesting maps at the victoria and albert at the moment - but this artist, Jack Milroy is of particular interest. There is a piece called the Librarians Gardener which is a paper cut garden falling out of a gardening book - really intricate - heres an image of another of his pieces (Jack Milroy isn't in the mapping exhibition)
