With almost 500 submissions from 42 countries around the world, White House Redux, a competition launched by Storefront for Art and Architecture and Control Group last January, became one of the most talked-about architecture competitions in 2008. The brief was simple: what would the residence of the most powerful individual in the world, the White House in Washington, D.C., look like if it were designed today? Question is are OB1 0708 students in it? Check back to see.
20-21st September - London and across the country. Open House encourages Londoners to explore and re-examine their city, to debate how architecture affects their daily lives, and to discover and appreciate how they can really influence change in the built environment.
Hello to all the new OB Architecture students - see you at 10am on Thursday 18th September for Year One Introduction in the studio and the hand out of the first project brief.
All the best to the 2007/08 crew - pop in and see us sometime!
