SMALL WORLDS
I visited the exhibition «Small Worlds» at the Museum of the History of Science, Broad Street, Oxford as part of my research for the «Open all Hours» project. I was interested in the changes of scale and representing something in a different way. Coming from a large street you feel you have been transported in a completely different world.
The exhibition is about the microscopic world that we cannot see with our bare eyes. I was particularily attracted by a machine that makes a normal picture become such a tiny one that you need a magnifying lense to see it. There are an immense number of things that we cannot see and also there are many ways of showing and displaying them. I felt like Alice in Wonderland.

Anthony McCall A REAL CRACKER
The Serpentine exhibition offers an overview of both the early and more recent works. The exhibition also features previously unseen drawings, studies, scores, photographs and documents, predominantly from the artist’s own archive, that offer an insight into his working practice. It is a must see if you are in London!

THE SITE CONTINUES TO BREATHE...
The subtitle promises ''a different Oxford journey,'' one confining itself to the Cowley Road in east Oxford. The attraction, for Attlee, is that the Cowley Road ''is both unique and nothing special''; the resulting book is unique and very special... Residents of East Oxford can be proud to have this eccentric advocated and eloquent explorer in their midst. (Geoff Dyer, Guardian). The book is in the library but just in case its already out here is a link Isolarion A Different Oxford Journey.
